The original contemporary cafe in Lilydale, our green and white stripes have been an icon in the area since 2013.        We serve Axil specialty coffee and an all day breakfast, brunch / lunch style menu. The General's menu has options for our vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free friends as well as all of your favourite cafe staples! Our menu is designed by our team of chefs, using seasonal ingredients and local suppliers from the Yarra Valley. We also serve a range of wine, beer and cider brewed in the Valley. We have been voted best coffee in the Yarra Ranges 2023, and our many regulars will profess to this.                           

The Lilydale General has a killer outdoor seating area that is dog friendly and perfect on a sunny day for a bite to eat on your way to and from the Valley.
